A new 'Alliance against the ESM' (Allianz gegen den ESM) has been formed, comprising 10 MPs, business groups and civil society organisations. Their manifesto can be seen on the website, as well as a video warning of the dangers of a Europe built on debt.

Greece was downgraded further into ‘junk’ territory by Fitch, and Moody’s downgraded 16 Spanish banks and four regions.
